DC Ranch, a nationally acclaimed DMB community, is nestled in the western foothills in the McDowell Mountains of Scottsdale, AZ.  In keeping with the original cattle rancher who owned and operated this ranch, DMB left much of the natural desert terrain in place.  This land is a fine display of the beauty found in the desert, especially with the beautiful mountain backdrop.

Housing in DC Ranch is a mix of condominiums, patio homes, villas, single family homes, semi-custom homes, and custom homes.  Production developers include Standard Pacific, UDC, Camelot, Rosewood, Engle, Ashton Woods, Columbia, Monterey, Edmunds, Maracay, and Toll Builders.  Custom home builders such as Odyssey Homes, Nance, Salcito, AZ Custom Homes, Fisher Custom Homes, Monarch, Hope Development, Calvis Wyatt, Scott Edmunds, and Archer Custom Homes are among some.  Prices will range from $300,000 - $10,000,000+.  This community began to be developed in 2000 and is ongoing.  The community is estimated to be 70% complete, so there is still opportunity to purchase a newly built home or a parcel of land to custom build a home. 

DC Ranch has a charming market place, perfectly picturesque.  You enter the market place by passing under a covered bridge.  Immediately you feel like you are in a small down town center.  The architecture is reminiscent of an old town, made up of old materials used in new ways.  It sets you back in time but with a subtle fresh contemporary spin.  The market place includes restaurants like Eddie V’s, Fleming’s, Flo's, and San Felipe's.  Clothing boutiques such as Croll Blue, Ruby Boutique, and Treasure Chest line the streets.  There is the local coffee house, Armitage Wine Lounge, and of course the staples such as a grocery store and a dry cleaners. 

DC Ranch promotes family and community thru their two community centers, complete with tennis courts, heated pools and spas, fitness centers, basketball courts, children’s play equipment, and picnic tables and barbeque grills.  The community centers, covering over 15 acres, offer a variety of activities for the families such as dance classes, art classes, and cooking classes.  The community has walking, biking, and jogging trails throughout. 

DC Ranch offers two private country clubs:  Silverleaf Country Club and DC Ranch Country Club.  Tom Lehman and John Fought designed the DC Ranch golf course, while Silverleaf’s signature course was designed by Tom Weiskopf.  Both clubs are some of the finest I have ever come across.  DMB used materials imported from all over the world and spared no expense to create an old world feeling, yet providing luxury second to none. 

DC Ranch is home to School District 48, Copper Ridge, an excelling school for K-8, and the Copper Ridge Academy specializing in math and sciences for 9-12 or Chaparral High School.  Notre Dame, a private school, is located near the community.
